1. A class has 48 minutes available to hear reports from 15 students.

  If the time is to be divided equally, how long may each student have?

2. Three friends Uche, Bola and Musa are in partnership business in

   which Uche and Bola contributed 5/9  and 2/15 of the cost 

   respectively. If the remaining cost which is $14, 000.00 

   was paid by Musa, how much did the business cost? 

   List the partners in ascending order of their investments.

3. A man whose salary is #16,245.00 per month received 4/15 of his 

   monthly salary in the month of December as Christmas bonus.

   Find his pay for December.

4. Calculate 110_two × (1 011_two + 1 001_two – 101_two).

5. Find the value of the following, leaving your answer in base two.

   (i) Square of 11o_two   (ii)  (1 000_two)²

  (iii) Square root of 11001_two (iv) Square root of 1010001_two
